Located in San Diego, Ca, DEC Engineers, LP is seeking self-motivated, experienced personnel to fill the following positions:
HVAC Mechanical Engineer (Updated 2019)
Seeking self-motivated engineers to join our experienced team with the design of commercial construction projects. Experience is preferred but entry candidates will be considered. Responsibilities will consist of designing and engineering buildings with DX systems, central plant systems, and Direct Digital Controls DDC. Projects will include the following facility types (related design experience is preferred); Military Base Facilities, University / Higher Education, K-12 Schools, Pharmaceutical / Research & Development, and Energy Engineering
Preferred Qualifications and Experience
- Engineering degree BSME preferred
- HVAC engineering and design including design controls systems
- Commissioning experience
- Excellent computer skills (Word, Excel, Office applications)
- Passed FE/ EIT exam, Licensed PE, LEED Accreditation are preferred

AutoCAD/Revit Technician (Updated 2019)
Seeking an experienced HVAC / Plumbing drafter with AutoCAD experience for full-time position, however will consider “entry-level” and/or part-time for the right candidate. Primary duties include the preparation of drawings / construction documents for various commercial and government projects.
Preferred Qualifications and Experience
- 2 years of industry experience
Job Responsibilities
- AutoCAD drafting for Mechanical and Plumbing systems to company/client standards
- Converting engineering mark-ups into AutoCAD/Revit
- Support Engineering staff on various projects
- File management and organization
- Preparation of drawings to company and / or client standards
- Drafting details and plans for Mechanical and Plumbing
- As-Built field markups for conversion to CAD drawings
